2020 The Countdown Begins by Colonel Bill Best

I was provided a complimentary copy of this book so I could give an honest review of it.  Thank you Colonel Bill Best, and readingdeals.com.

This appears to be part of a Novella to a bigger story - but it was easy to get into and to figure out who was who and what was going on.

Stacey Townsend is one of our main characters - I believe she was genetically modified and enhanced - so while she looks 30 she is actually 90.  Now how that happened, I would have to read the rest of the story to figure out.  Was she always this way, or did Jason a U.S. Senator - make her that way?  Did he somehow harvest what made "her special" and use it on others - that question was never answered.  But again, I did come in, in the middle of a story.

Jason is desperately wanting to capture Stacey who is a billionaire, with a massive iq, several patents, faster and stronger than a Olympian - again, is it so he can harvest whatever makes her "special" so he can make himself that way?  One thing is for certain, that man is evil and demonic -

Stacey also has a strong faith in God - she went through a large part of the book - attempting to figure out how she will kill Jason- but in the end her friend Roger, who was also her pastor and brought her to the Lord, loses his family in a freak airplane accident- and that brings Stacey back to God.

The book wasn't preachy, it shows from the main characters perspectives, doing the will of God - and in Jason's case - not doing it - and losing his chance at salvation.  Stacey meets a man, a Colonel, that she is attracted to physically and mentally - that she could easily imagine herself with, even for a night, but Stacey stops herself.

The colonel wonders why, he has "picked up numerous women" - to have some fun with and to spice up his "vanilla marriage".

Overall I really liked the book, like I said it was more like jump in to the action, and not having all the answers is kind of weird, but that's how my mind moves.  :)  I would highly recommend this book and will be looking for future books by Colonel Best.
